TROJANS MAULED BY TIGERS!

February 3, 2022

ANY LINGERING HOPES TROJANS 1 MAY HAVE HAD ABOUT REGAINING THE DIVISION ONE TITLE THEY HAVE WON IN SEVEN OF THE LAST TEN SEASONS WENT OUT OF THE WINDOW AS THEY CRASHED TO THEIR SECOND DEFEAT IN SIX DAYS AT TAMWORTH TIGERS.

TROJANS, DECIMATED BY INJURIES AND ABSENCE TOOK JUST SIX PLAYERS TO THE RAWLETT CENTRE,  AND SUFFERED AS THEY LOST EACH OF THE QUARTERS DESPITE A SEASON HIGH 22 POINTS FORM COACH TREVOR ROBINSON, AND THEY N OW SIT WITH THREE DEFEATS AS ARDEN AT THE TOP REMAIN UNBEATEN.

HOW THEY HAVE MISSED MARK LARNER IN THE TWO FIXTURES FOR HE LEADS THE WARWICKSHIRE BASKETBALL SCORING WITH AN AVERAGE OF OVER 30 SO FAR  AND TROJANS WILL BE WILLING HIM TO PASS HIMSELF FIT FOR THEIR “INTERNAL” CLASH WITH THEIR SECOND TEAM NEXT MONDAY WHERE A THIRD DEFEAT WOULD BE THE FINAL IGNOMINY OF THE WINTER.

TEN THREE-POINTERS SAILED THROUGH THE TROJANS’ HOOP WITH LUKAS BOLDA DOING WHAT HE DOES BEST – LEADING THE TIGERS HOME. HE MADE 26 POINTS TO COUNTER ROBINSON’S EFFORT AT THE OTHER END.
