They may have won just twice ON court this season but Trojans pub quiz team excelled at The Newlands on Thursday night when they won the Sizzling Pubs’ weekly brain-teaser.
Having been “Bridesmaids” on three occasions the five team members, Neil Murray, Mike Maddox, Trevor Robinson, Mark Salter and Matty Novelskas triumphed by two points over the runners-up with a total of 55 in what they described as a “difficult” set of questions.
one which they and few others knew was “What does NBA stand for?” That was the easy bit but the previous evening, the Quizmaster told the winners that nobody in the entire Birmingham audience knew the answer!
the prize for the quintet was a £20 gift voucher which will be used next week after the team’s league match against JM Grizzlies which starts at 7.20.
