TROJANS BECOME SATELLITE
August 26, 2014
The new season beckons and Trojans have been busy throughout the summer recess.
we have been offered the opportunity to be involved with the exciting Sport England Satellite Club Programme.
Satellite Clubs are funding via CSW Sport, and are extensions or outposts of community sports clubs which are established at a new venue – usually a secondary school or college specifically targeting the 14-25 age group. This opportunity is particularly beneficial to a sport such as basketball, where chances to play often means travel, so these ‘local’ clubs will help reduce that barrier to participation.
The programme for Trojans will be delivered by PARTICIP8 – the community foundation of Trojans – at the following days and times:
The Westwood Academy – Mondays 4.00-5.00pm starting September 8th (Girls only aged 11-14)
Stratford Leisure Centre – Fridays 6.00-8.00pm (11-16 years old) Charge £3 per session.
in addition Trojans are delivering a boys’ programme specifically for the boys of Westwood Academy.
