Trojans Social Evening

almost 50 members and their families enjoyed an evening at Kenilworth Golf Club on Saturday.

The event followed the success of last year’s 40th Anniversary evening at the same place and the hot buffet meal was enjoyed by all.

John Owen ran his usual entertaining quiz and the presentation of last season’s awards were made by the Chairman Andy Dickson, Club Secretary Mike Maddox – who organised the event, and Ladies’ Coach Aurora Backhouse.

Top Scorers for the teams were: Scott Owen (TH1), Kamil Skarbinski (TH2), Mike Buckley (TH3), Will Brain (TH Colts), Austin Dickson (THU16) and Anne Antoni (TH Ladies).

The Player of the Year awards went to: Joel Stephenson (TH1), Charles Back (TH2), Dave Jenkinson (TH3), Austin Dickson (TH Colts), Aaron Murray (THU16) and Julie Low (TH Ladies).

The prestigious Karl Hudson Memorial Trophy for The Trojans Clubman of the Year went to Scott Owen for his commitment to playing, refereeing, acting Team Manager and regular training.

The winners took home their trophies, Team Managers appreciated their gifts and the winners of the quiz were presented with bottles of wine….now for the real business of the new season!
