IT’S SO EASY FOR FIRSTS
February 5, 2018
THE EAGERLY AWAITED SECOND LEG CLASH BETWEEN THE FIRST AND SECOND TEAMS TURNED OUT TO BE A WALK IN THE PARK FOR THE SENIOR SIDE WHO HAD BEEN EXPECTED TO BE STRIPPED OF ALL OF THEIR NATIONAL LEAGUE PLAYERS.
BUT, ALAS IT WAS NOT THE CASE AS THEY TOOK THE NIGHT OFF TO TURN OUT AND RUIN THE EVENING FOR ANDY DICKSON’S GROUP, ROBBED OF THE SERVICES OF THREE OF THEIR USUAL PLAYERS.
HAVING LOST THE FIRST LEG BY 38 AND STARTING THE SECOND WITH THEIR 20 POINTS ADDED BACK, IT WAS ALWAYS GOING TO BE TOUGH, BUT AS THE FIRSTS HAD ADVERTISED THE FACT THAT THEY HAD ONLY FIVE PLAYERS AVAILABLE, IT WAS MOUTH-WATERING. THE SCORE OF 117-61 COULD HAVE BEEN A DOZEN OR SO MORE AS THEY CONTROLLED EVERYTHING FROM START TO FINISH WITH AUSTIN DICKSON ON 24, ASH ON 20 AND CURTIS HADLEY TURNING IN 18 AS DAD DICKSON LED FOR 2 ON 8 ALONG WITH BHUWAN LIMBU.
