PREDATORS FALL FOUL OF OFFICIALS AS TH3 WIN IN NUNEATON!

Nuneaton Predators fell foul of the officials as they sent Tile Hill Trojans to the line 25 times in a tough, sometimes brutal Division Two encounter.

The fact that the visiting Tile Hill side won 67-39 was almost incidental compared with the temperature of the game, compared with that inside the George Elliott Arena which, at times reached boiling-point. But, the guile and experience in the Trojans’ ranks saw them home at a canter, following their electric start which saw them 17-4 up at the initial break.

Following this up with an almost equal 17-8 second quarter, Trojans were looking home and dry, before a fight-back came form the chasing Predators, who had Prince Banda leading the charge as the hosts managed to get the score to 45-30 when the ball came in to start the final quarter.

Rallied and stabilised, Trojans saw the game home as they stepped things up for that last ten minutes to ram home their dominance – third quarter excepted, with a 22-9 result leaving the town with three-points.
