SECONDS HUNT DOWN INJURY-HIT PREDATORS AND GET WIN!

March 14, 2023

Both teams were short of players before the start of an enterprising game which had to be held-up for fifteen minutes following a nasty injury to Nuneaton’s Adam Lea, and his departure, just before half-time knocked the stuffing out of Predators, who, despite missing their leading player on the night, put up a good show before running out of steam in the end to go down 53-68.

The visitors to Hereward College took the initiative early on and led until just before Lea’s ankle gave way after an aerial challenge and with him leaving the College on crutches, Trojans ran their opponents into the ground with a 33-23 second-half tally.

the star of the show was the hosts Nav Singh who sank four triples on his way to an impressive 23 point haul, while Abu Hassan almost matched this for the visitors.

Scorers: Trojans – Singh 23, Ubavicius 0, Gurung 10, Eales 4, Baliunas 13, Wu 6, Barr 4, Linnett 8.

Predators, Lucas 6, Stevens 2, Lea 6, Cox 2, Hassan A 21, Hassan J 10 Klova 6.
