TORNADOES BLOWN AWAY IN FIRST QUARTER BLAST!

An opening quarter blast from Trojans 1 saw off Coventry Tornadoes as the first team swept to an 80-44 win at Finham Park 2 School.

with Ash Dickson and Mark Larner in top form and Wayne Jones dropping in a couple of triples, combined with some tough defensive play, Trojans were 24-6 ahead by the time the first buzzer sounded.

Coach Trevor Robinson then brought in his bench players and they took the visitors to a 44-24 half-time break as every member of the squad managed to get onto the scoresheet.

Tornadoes were no match for the seven-time Champions but Robinson warned that the team must be on top form next Monday when they entertain title-holders Arden Griffins at Hereward College (8.15pm).
