TROJANS FIRST IN BATTLE OF THE THIRDS!

Trojans 3 finished their season with a victory which gives them an 8-6 statistic in the win/loss columns following their 64-57 success over Coventry Tornadoes 3.

The third string from both clubs slugged it out at Finham Park 2 School, and Tornadoes crashed down to earth after their win over the Club’s second team the previous week, as they found themselves trailing 10-0 with four minutes on the clock.

However, they rallied to close just six adrift before going backwards in the second quarter as Trevor Robinson dominated inside for the visiting Reds.

Tornadoes threw up a plethora of triples throughout an enterprising fixture, with nine successes to Trojans 1 – a long-range effort from 6’10” Costa Mircea on the half-time buzzer. Mircea landed a 15 point haul, his best of the season to complement Robinson’s 20 as Tornadoes fought to recover their early deficit , but to no avail as the experienced visitors held on to thwart their eager hosts.
